7-Hour Herzegovina Day Tour, 7 hours, rated 5 across 49 traveller reviews.

Overview

This full-day Herzegovina tour runs seven hours with three stops. It leaves from Španski trg in central Mostar and returns to the same spot at the end of the day. The order runs Blagaj first, then the Kravica waterfall, then Počitelj, with lunch in Počitelj before the drive back.

Blagaj opens the day with the tekke, a dervish house in striking natural surroundings. The guide covers the history of the town, which predates Mostar itself, and explains what the tekke was actually for. The middle of the day belongs to water: three hours at the Kravica waterfall, with time to swim as well as look. Bring a swimsuit.

Počitelj closes the circuit. The group walks the streets of the medieval town, climbs toward its towers, hears its history, and then eats in one of its restaurants. Who suits it? Anyone with moderate fitness who wants history, nature and a swim in a single day without arranging three separate trips. Lunch and two entry fees are extra, listed below.

What To Expect From The Tour

A few practical points will shape the day, from entry fees to swim time.

Common issues. The main cost to plan for is extras: lunch and both entry fees, for the tekke and the waterfall, are on top of the tour price. The tour is not wheelchair accessible, and the listing does not recommend it for travellers with back problems, pregnant travellers, or anyone with serious heart or other medical conditions. It also needs a minimum number of travellers and decent weather to run, and if either condition fails you are offered a different date, a different experience, or a full refund. Confirmation can take up to 48 hours and depends on availability, so last-minute bookers should watch for that, though one reviewer reported a prompt confirmation after booking late.

Common Questions

What is included in the price?

Transportation with hotel pickup in an air-conditioned vehicle, a local guide, and parking fees. Everything else is on you.

Are entry fees and lunch extra?

Yes. The Kravica waterfall admission and the Blagaj tekke admission are not included, and nor is any food or drink. Lunch happens in a restaurant in Počitelj at your own expense.

Where does the tour start?

At the bus stop in front of the Gymnasium on Španski trg in Mostar, the yellow building. Hotel pickup is listed as included, and the tour ends back at the same point.

Can I swim at the waterfall?

Yes. The listing includes swimming in the Kravica waterfall stop, which lasts three hours, and several reviewers specifically mention bringing a swimsuit and swimming there.

Is it suitable for people with limited mobility or children?

The tour is not wheelchair accessible and asks for a moderate fitness level, with walks through Počitelj up toward its towers. The listing also advises against it for pregnant travellers, people with back problems, or anyone with serious heart or other medical conditions.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel at least 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window there is no refund and changes are not accepted. Weather cancellations or an unmet minimum group size come with an offer of a different date or experience, or a full refund.
