Private Walk, 1 Hour 15 Minutes, 1 hour 15 minutes, rated 5 across 107 traveller reviews.
An hour and 15 minutes with a private local guide is enough to make sense of Mostar's Old Town, and that is exactly what this walk delivers. You meet at the main entrance of the Franciscan church on Franjevačka street, then head for Stari Most, the old bridge, where the guide lays out the historical background of the structure. The stop there runs about twenty minutes.
The tour finishes at the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque in the Old Town, so you end up well placed to keep exploring on your own. Mosque interiors are optional visits and their entry tickets are not part of the tour price.
Because the tour is private, only your group takes part. Reviewers consistently describe guides who answer any question about the history of the city and the country, and several first-time visitors said the walk helped them orient for the rest of their stay.
The walk is short and city-based, but a few practical details shape how it goes.
Common issues. The tour is not wheelchair accessible. It requires good weather and a minimum number of travellers; if either condition is not met, the operator offers a different date or a full refund. Mosque entry tickets, food and gratuities are all extra. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are not refunded.
The listed inclusion is the tour guide, for your private group only. Food, drinks, gratuities and optional entrance tickets are not included. Anything you consume or enter along the way is paid separately.
It starts in front of the main entrance to the Franciscan church at Franjevačka 1 in Mostar. It ends at the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque on Mala Tepa, inside the Old Town. The meeting point is the church.
The tour runs 1 hour 15 minutes. Stops are about 20 minutes at the Old Bridge, 5 minutes at the Crooked Bridge, 5 minutes at Hadzi-Kurt Mosque and 10 minutes at Koski-Mehmed Pasha Mosque.
No. Entrances to some places are optional and the tickets are not included in the tour price. The two bridges are free to visit. You can skip the mosque interiors and still follow the full route.
The listing states the tour is not wheelchair accessible. It does say most travellers can participate and that service animals are allowed. Anyone with mobility concerns should contact the operator before booking.
A full refund requires cancelling at least 24 hours before the start time, based on local time. Cancellations or changes inside that window are not refunded or accepted. Weather cancellations or an unmet minimum traveller count come with an offer of a different date or a full refund.
